Bing Shirtigan PDF Sewing Pattern

It's not a shirt, its not a cardigan! It's a shirtigan! Taking the comfort of a cardigan and mixing it up with a button-down shirt, the Bing Shirtigan combines woven with knit fabrics, creating endless possibilities to mix and match! The pattern comes with chest pockets, 2 sleeve versions and a hood and base-ball collar option, both finished with a contrast binding. 

Techniques involved include sewing with knits and wovens, straight & curved seams, sewing corners, attaching ribbings, finishing seams with a binding, sewing facings, interfacing and attaching snap buttons.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS
Upper part of the shirtigan and hood: Medium weight knits, summer sweat, interlock or french terry with at least 30% stretch (lycra or elastane). 
Lower part of the shirtigan: medium weight woven fabrics, flannel, denim, corduroy, twill, gabardine, linen, cotton.
Collar: Rib knit fabric.
Bindings for hood and neckline (and optional two-piece sleeve contrast tape): light weight jersey knit.

* 7-10 12-15mm snap buttons

MACHINES
Sewing machine / Serger. When using a sewing machine, use a knit stitch or small zigzag stitch in place of the serged seam. Finish the seams with a big zigzag stitch.
